About the app

SafeChat Adventures is an educational app that helps young children (ages 2–6) learn conversation skills and personal safety through friendly, age-appropriate story scenarios across six colorful worlds. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no data collection. The app works fully offline.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to Parent / Carer Mode?

Tap the parent button on the welcome or map screen. You'll be asked to solve a simple math problem — this is a parental gate that keeps the settings and progress area out of little hands. Once solved, you'll reach the dashboard.

How does the read-aloud (narration) feature work?

Narration reads each scenario and its feedback aloud, which is ideal for children who can't read yet. It's on by default. You can toggle it using the speaker icon during play, or in Parent / Carer Mode under Settings. It uses your device's built-in speech and never records audio.

My child's progress disappeared. What happened?

Progress is saved on your device only. It can be lost if the app is deleted and reinstalled, or if "Reset All Progress" was tapped in Parent / Carer Mode. There is no cloud backup, which is a deliberate privacy choice — we never store your child's data on any server.

How do the worlds unlock?

The first world is open from the start. Each new world unlocks when your child completes the world before it. This keeps the learning in a gentle, logical order.

Is the app safe and private for my child?

Yes. SafeChat Adventures collects no personal information, has no ads, no in-app purchases, no external links reachable by children, and requires no internet connection. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

The narration isn't making any sound.

Check that narration is turned on (the speaker icon during play, or the toggle in Parent / Carer Mode), that your device isn't muted or in silent mode, and that the volume is turned up. Narration follows your device's ring/silent switch.

Does the app work without Wi-Fi?

Yes — everything works fully offline. No internet connection is ever needed.

How do I reset all progress?

Open Parent / Carer Mode (via the parental gate), scroll to the bottom, and tap "Reset All Progress." This clears all stars, completed worlds, and stickers, and cannot be undone.

If something isn't working, emailing us the following helps us fix it faster:

• Your device model (for example, iPhone 15 or iPad Air)
• Your iOS version (Settings → General → About → Software Version)
• A short description of what happened and what you expected
